Hello Khafre! Might be worth a visit for the school holidays!Say hello to Khafre, the Caracal!! 🐾 We've just welcomed a new species to the whaanau - the Caracal! A stunning medium-sized cat with origins from Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia.The newest addition to Hamilton Zoo, Khafre, is a two-year-old male, who's quickly settled in after travelling all the way over from Queensland, Australia.If everything goes as planned, Khafre won't be the only Caracal at the Zoo! We're planning to introduce a female Caracal for breeding purposes in the future.We hope you're just as excited as us to welcome him to Hamilton Zoo!
